Way to go, Emma!!

Another year has passed and I remain so very proud of my lab. Soon-to-be Dr. Emma Schultz has joined the ranks of use piled high and deep. She had a wonderful end to 2024 with submitting her dissertation to our college Dean for review and signature and wrapped up library edits this month. She sis ready to graduate in May!! We are saddened though by her moving forward. While we love the success of our lab mates, it is a bittersweet goodbye when they move onto other pastures. Emma demonstrated camaraderie on a whole new level, getting involved in everything, and networking like crazy. It's now no surprise to me when someone mentions they met her whether I'm on campus or around town.

Emma, we wish you all the best and look forward to watching you continue to succeed. You will always be welcome on campus and have truly made a wonderful impact during your time here. You have maintained the reputation shared by your references when we interviewed you. You have been kind, humble, driven, and compassionate. You have shown us how to live and love those around us while excelling in our work responsibilities and joys of life. All the best and keep on being you because you're awesome!
